NEW Spypoint Tiny-W2 Wireless infrared Night Vision Camera Trap

Leading wildlife camera manufacturer Spypoint recently launched the new Tiny-W2 camera trap. This new model replaces the existing Spypoint Tiny-W.
The Spypoint Tiny-W2 and the model it replaces, are unique because they are able to transfer captured images and video footage to a remote wireless data storage bin which can be placed at a distance from the camera itself. The storage bin can be concealed under ground with only its small antenna showing.

The new Spypoint Tiny-W2 now features a Time-Lapse mode which allows the user to programme the camera to take still images at pre-set intervals. Time-Lapse is only selectable in camera mode. From a Wildlife observation perspective, this function is ideal for use if you want to scan a much larger area as it doesn't rely on the camera's motion detection system to trigger the camera which is limited out to a range of 50ft.
Some people also use the time-lapse function to film the progress of a construction site for example. The resulting footage can then easily be turned into a video to show the rate of change and progress.

Another key difference between the new Spypoint Tiny-W2 and the existing Tiny-W is the max. wireless range between the camera and the wireless storage bin. This has been increased from 50ft up to a staggering 250ft!!
The increased range makes it easier to conceal the remote file storage bin while limiting the possibility that the nesting site you're filming gets disturbed.

Last but not least we have the Adjustable Period of Operation feature which allows the user to programme the camera to become operational at a certain time of day or night. This results in lower running costs and valuable SD card memory savings.

The new Spypoint Tiny-W2 retains all the other industry leading features of the outgoing Tiny-W, such as the Variable infrared level adjustment which prevents overexposure of the image and the 7 zone 70Deg. max. angle of motion detection (only with side sensors switched on).

The Spypoint Tiny-W2 produces excellent quality video footage in full colour by day and in black and white at night despite the fact that it isn't of HD quality. Still image quality is equally impressive due to the true 8MP camera sensor ensuring a clear and crisp image every time.

NEW Spypoint Tiny-D Wildlife Camera

Leading camera trap manufacturer Spypoint, recently launched the new Spypoint Tiny-D trailcamera as part of their new range for 2012.

The new Spypoint Tiny-D is an upgraded version of the existing Tiny.
The key differences are that the new Tiny-D comes with an internal colour viewing screen to replay footage, and a market leading 0 second trigger speed using 3 separate high spec. motion detection sensors.
The combination of this exceptional motion trigger speed and a 70 deg. detection zone (with side motion sensors on), ensure nothing escapes the camera lens.

The other good news is that there is no price increase over the outgoing Spypoint Tiny.
The Spypoint Tiny-D retains all the other main features which made the original Tiny so popular, such as automatic IR level adjustment, multi-shot mode with up to 6 pictures per detection, adjustable distance detection sensor (5-50ft), and many more.

At a price below £200, there is nothing on the market which packs this much technology into such a "Tiny" wildlife camera.

NEW Spypoint HD-10 Camera Trap

Leading wildlife camera manufacturer Spypoint recently launched the Spypoint HD-10 trailcamera as part of a new range for 2012.

As the name suggests the Spypoint HD-10 is capable of recording video footage in 720p HD and comes equipped with a true 10MP camera sensor. The Spypoint HD-10 effectively replaces the outgoing Spypoint IR-10 and IR-8 models, however the HD-10 is closer in price to the IR-8 than the IR-10...
This latest Spypoint model is packed with a whole host of sophisticated features which make the HD-10 the wildlife camera of choice at a budget of £250.

Those other features include sound recording capability, a time lapse function, an internal 2.4" LCD viewing screen for menu set up and playback of still images and video footage including a speaker for recorded sound. It also benefits from a programmable adjustable automatic operation period and automatic infrared level adjustment.
The Spypoint HD-10 is also capable of recording video clips of up to 90seconds long at full 720p HD resolution. Most other cmaera trap manufacturers are limited to a 60 second recorded video clip.
Trigger response time is as quick as ever and instant if placed into electricity mode.

The motion detection performance of the HD-10 can be further enhanced when used in conjunction with  Spypoints own external motion detector system. This addition gives the HD-10 a far greater field of motion detection and is designed to trigger the camera to remotely. However it is worth noting that this function does not interfere with the cameras own motion detection system should anything wander into the its own detection range.
The Spypoint HD-10 can also be used in conjunction with a Spypoint IR booster. The IR booster can be placed at a distance from the HD-10. The IR booster is then synced in remotely with the HD-10 to give the camera a much larger illumination area. If used with Spypoint's completely covert IR booster, the HD-10 is perfect for security and surveillance applications as well as for wildlife research and observation.

NEW Spypoint IR-7 Wildlife Camera

Spypoint recently launched their new range of camera traps for 2012. Included in this range is the new Spypoint IR-7. This model effectively replaces the current IR-6 model.

The Spypoint IR-7 is equipped with all the features which made the IR-6 a formidable trail camera such as, 46 infrared Low Glow LED illuminators, five zone motion sensor, a removable internal camera, automatic infrared level adjustment, video recording capability, adjustable distance detection sensor, multi shot mode, etc.

However, as the model name suggests, the Spypoint IR-7 is equipped with a true 7 mega pixel sensor instead of the IR-6's 6 mega pixel sensor. This translates into a still image quality good enough to rival more expensive trailcameras from other brands.

Undoubtedly the biggest difference is the fact that the new Spypoint IR-7 is capable of recording sound. No trail camera on the market today boasts having sound capability at a price below £170.

The other really good news is that the new Spypoint IR-7 doesn't cost a penny more than its predecessor.

If you're looking for a wildlife camera which does it all on a budget.. Look no further!

NEW Bushnell Trophy Cam HD Max Camera Trap

Scott Country International are proud to announce the exclusive official UK launch of the latest in a line of HD wildlife cameras from Bushnell called the Trophy Cam HD Max at the BBC Gardeners World Live show at the NEC exhibition centre from 13th June until 17th June 2012 .

Anybody who is familiar with the Bushnell Trophy Cam range will know that the new Trophy Cam HD Max is now the third Trophy Cam model to be available with HD video recording capability.

The Trophy Cam HD Max is equipped with a whole host of exciting new features as well as some upgrades over the existing model. New features include Auto PIR sensitivity, Multi Flash Mode, GPS Geotag and Time Lapse x2.

The Auto PIR sensitivity function uses ambient air temperature readings to enable the PIR to maintain a consistent sensitivity level. However it can also be set manually to either Low/Medium or High if required.

Multi Flash mode gives the user manual control over the intensity level of infra red illumination (low/medium/high).
For instance, if you are setting the Trophy Cam HD Max up to take footage or stills at close range at night, you can alter the flash mode to Low, which will limit the chance of any captured footage from appearing overexposed.
Alternatively, if you are looking to capture a subject further away from the camera, you can set the multi flash mode to High, therefore utilising the full illumination potential of the IR LEDs. Obviously, if set to High, the power usage will be greater than if set to low which highlights the potential for energy saving.

Next up is the new GPS Geotag function, which is designed to simplify the tracking of wildlife movements by auto embeding the co-ordinates of each camera placement. This allows you to catalogue precisely where a particular animal species was recorded and when.

Finaly, we have Timelapse X2 function, which is not only a more advanced version of the current time lapse function in the existing HD model, but now also allows you to set multiple activation time phases per day. For instance, before you would only be able to set the time lapse to become operational during one time phase from 3am until 9 am for example, but now it's possible to add another time phase in which could be from 9pm until 11pm for example.
Timelapse X2 can also be set to capture video, which is an industry first as all other camera traps available with a time lapse function will only be able to capture still images.

If the additional features on the new Trophy Cam HD Max were not enough, there have also been a number of improvements made over the existing HD model, namely a reduced motion trigger response time of 0.6 seconds, a true 8 megapixel sensor rating (instead of a 5 megapixel sensor which was interpolated to produce an 8 mega pixel image) and the new more powerful Hyper vision LED infra red illuminators which provide a greater level of night time illumination which explains the reduced number of LEDs on the new Trophy Cam HD Max model as opposed to the existing HD model.

However, for those of you who already have the existing HD model it doesn't automatically mean your camera is now obsolete. The current HD model continues to be a formidable piece of kit which is still very much up among the best camera traps currently available today. The HD Max represents an improvement in every aspect over what is already an excellent wildlife camera.

NEW Spypoint HD-12 Covert infrared Wildlife Camera

Trail Camera manufacturers Spypoint recently launched the latest state of the art covert camera trap called the Spypoint HD-12.
This top of the range nature camera from Spypoint features covert infrared illumination or otherwise simply known as "Black Flash". As the description suggests, the Spypoint HD-12 does not emit any visible glow from the infrared LEDs when the camera is triggered. Wildlife and humans will remain blissfully unaware of the camera's presence. Therefore making the Spypoint HD-12 perfect for security purposes as well as for wildlife observation.

Spypoint has long been known for its excellent still image quality during the day and at night. Every Spypoint camera is quoted as having a TRUE megapixel sensor rating. In the case of the Spypoint HD-12, it has a 12 megapixel sensor and does not rely on interpolation techniques in order to produce a still image with a 12 megapixel resolution. The new HD-12 shares the same sensor quality as the outgoing Spypoint Pro-X Plus, however that model is equipped with Low Glow (visible) LEDS for night time illumination as opposed to the new HD-12s Completely invisible illumination system.

Another big advancement in the design of the Spypoint HD-12 is the ability to record video footage in HD quality. In the past, if you wanted a camera trap which would provide you with the best still image quality, then the natural choice would have been a Spypoint product. However if you wanted a camera trap to give you the best possible video quality, then you would have had to look elsewhere. With the new Spypoint range you can have your cake and eat it! The Spypoint HD-12 will now give you both, which on paper, gives you the best of both worlds.
Another point worth mentioning is the increased maximum video length per camera trigger which has been increased from 60 sec. up to 90sec.
Using a 32gb SD memory card for instance, the HD-12 will be capable of storing over 12000 12megapixel still images and over 400 90sec. video clips with a 720p HD resolution, which in turn equates to over 10 hours of HD video footage!!

The Spypoint HD-12 also features an industry first, namely their new WRL-B remote motion detector system. This new system works remotely from the HD-12 unit and is designed to extend its detection area. However the HD-12 continues to benefit from its own internal motion detection system.

Another new feature to appear on the Spypoint HD-12 is a time lapse function. This allows you to programme the camera to take still images at  pre-determined intervals from as little as 30 seconds up to 1 hour between (motion within the detection area of the sensor will be ignored by the camera). This function is only available in Still image mode and picture resolution is reduced by roughly 50% to enable future video editing of a series of stills.

Other key strong points such as the internal 3" LCD viewing screen, the user friendly menu system, automatic infrared level adjustment, sound recording capability in video mode, etc.,  have all been carried over to the new 2012 HD-12 model.

Spypoint also continues to offer the widest range of accessories of any trailcamera manufacturer. For instance, it's range of power solutions remains unrivalled. Other useful accessories include Covert and non covert Infrared boosters, mounting bracket, secure metal camera boxes, etc.

The Spypoint HD-12 may be a little more expensive than its rivals, but it is also the best equipped motion detection wildlife camera and represents excellent value for your money when you consider what it's capable of.
